Flame Retardant Shrink Film

Polythene UK is the first major distributor of flame retardant polythene across the UK. We supply this material across our whole product range, covering all general applications where heat and fire protection is needed. We also offer scaffold sheet wrap and scaffold shrink film, suitable for use on major construction projects.

We have developed two separate products for scaffold wrapping, and although they are produced using different materials and applied using different techniques, both create a fully enclosed, drum tight, working environment that is totally wind and weather proof – ensuring that throughout the numerous stages of a build project, work can continue uninterrupted by the weather.

Our scaffold sheet wrap is supplied on light, easy-to-carry rolls and is affixed using our own 115v electric crimping tool which heat seals the ends of the wrap together around the scaffolding poles – no naked flames are required. Our scaffold shrink film is also extremely easy to affix using traditional shrink gun methods.

Both products need only one application. Impressively, they have passed a site test with winds recorded at 140 miles per hour without needing to be refixed. They are both available either plain or printed up to 8 colours with your company branding.
