Oxfordshire Business Awards
We are delighted to announce that at the Oxfordshire Business Awards, Polythene UK were announced as runners-up in both of the categories we entered.
The awards dinner was held on 19 June at the Oxford Thames Four Pillars Hotel. We all had a fantastic evening and are very proud to have been picked as finalists!
When you consider the companies we were competing against, and especially the two that actually won our categories, we are honoured to be chosen as finalists beside them.
Both eventual winners are large companies of long-standing. Grundon Waste Management (winners of the Large Business award) employ 700 staff and have a turnover of £73.8M and SOHA Housing (winners of the Employer of the Year award) have an annual turnover of £35M and have gold standard Investors in People recognition. To have been judged as finalists alongside companies of this caliber is in itself a great achievement.
The fact that we didn’t win this time only feeds James’s determination to continue to improve in time for next years’ awards.
“I am so delighted that our company has once again been recognised for all our hard work and achievement. We have all pushed really hard to change the perception of the polythene industry with our exclusive, environmentally beneficial materials. These not only help our customers improve their carbon footprint but also give us a unique selling point that helps us to continue to grow the business and enjoy both corporate and personal successes”.
