Why are the pioneering French leading the way?
Issues relating to pollution and climate change continue to grip our consciousness. Politicians and other interested parties are increasingly coming up with new ideas and policies around plastic waste recycling to minimise the impact on the environment.
In October 2015 the UK placed a 5p charge on every plastic bag used by consumers in supermarkets. The results have been impressive, and we are all feeling good about ourselves.
However, the French aren’t messing around. Having completely banned all plastic shopping bags, they now intend to extend that ban to cover all plastic mailing films.
