Polycomp™ is a starch-based compostable polythene that biodegrades fully within 10 days in the right environment, while performing just like standard polythene during use. It's EN13432 certified.

Is Polycomp™ suitable for food contact applications?

Yes, Polycomp™ is made from Mater-Bi HF05B0 granules/plastic, making it suitable for food contact applications.

What's the difference between compostable and biodegradable packaging?

Biodegradable packaging breaks down over time but can leave behind microplastics or harmful residues. Compostable packaging like Polycomp™ goes one step further; it breaks down completely within a defined timeframe, leaving nothing harmful behind. All compostable packaging is biodegradable, but not all biodegradable packaging is compostable.
