Our Range of Recycled Machine Stretch Film

150% PPS as Standard

150% PPS as Standard

Used where your wrapper is a traditional core-break turntable and the machine does not actively stretch the film. This is the reliable, no-fuss option for many standard lines. We do recommend trialling our thinner 7-layer 250% PPS film where appropriate, which can deliver significant material and cost savings versus standard 150% PPS.
Power Pre-Stretch Film

Power Pre-Stretch Film

Made for semi-automatic and powered wrappers that pre-stretch film before application, this grade is engineered to work with gearing/brake systems that stretch film from around 200% up to 300% PPS. Choosing the right multi-layer power-prestretch film lets you downgauge while maintaining load-holding, helping cut film use and cost without compromising protectio
Fold Over Edge Pre-Stretched

Fold-Over Edge Pre-Stretched

This option uses pre-stretch technology to dramatically reduce film thickness while keeping strength where it matters. The film edges are folded so they remain effectively twice as thick at the critical break points. The result is a lighter, lower-cost roll that still gives reinforced top and bottom edge protection for pallet loads.

Macro and Micro Perf Machine Film

Macro & Micro Perforated Machine Film

Macro and micro-perforated machine films are designed for specialised wrapping jobs that need controlled ventilation or particular wrapping techniques. These perforations let you protect and stabilise goods while reducing condensation risk or allowing airflow as required by the product.
Printed Machine Film

Printed Machine Film

Custom printed machine film puts your brand onto the pallet wrap, so packaging both secures goods and boosts visibility in transit and at the final destination. We offer printed machine film in multiple colour options to suit promotional or operational messaging alongside standard technical performance.

How Our Recycling Process Works

Polythene UK operates a fully integrated recycling process, turning used polythene into high-performance recycled film.

Waste is collected from domestic, agricultural, and industrial sources and processed using advanced sorting technologies, including optical, ballistic, densitometric, and infrared systems, to remove contaminants. The material is cleaned, crushed, and converted into granules for new film production.

Each batch is lab tested to ensure consistent quality. We partner with one of Europe’s most advanced post-consumer waste facilities, processing up to 20,000 tonnes per year.

FAQs

What's the difference between recycled and recyclable stretch film?
Recyclable means the film can be recycled after use. Recycled means it's already made from material that has been previously used and reprocessed. Polythene UK's recycled machine stretch film is manufactured from post-consumer waste and is fully recyclable again at the end of life, supporting a circular economy.
Can Polythene UK collect my waste polythene?
Yes, we operate a free national waste polythene collection service, picking up your used polythene and putting it back through our recycling process. This means the material you use today can become the recycled content in the film you order tomorrow, closing the loop on your polythene packaging.
Do you provide free samples?
Yes, simply contact us by phone or email, and we'll arrange sample reels so you can test performance and compatibility on your own wrapping equipment.
How quickly will my order arrive?
Stocked items ordered before 2pm are normally dispatched the next working day (some remote areas of Scotland and Ireland are excluded). Bespoke or printed orders have longer lead times, which we confirm with your quote.
Can you supply printed or coloured film?
Yes, we manufacture coloured and custom-printed films for load identification, security, or brand visibility. Minimum quantities and production lead times will be confirmed when we prepare your quote.
Do you offer bulk pricing or contracts?
Our pricing is competitive across all order sizes, and we review higher-volume or ongoing requirements individually to ensure you receive the most cost-effective solution.
Can I set up recurring deliveries?
Yes, we can set up scheduled or standing orders to maintain consistent stock levels. Speak to our sales team to organise a delivery schedule that suits your operation.
